The place was close to empty when we arrived, now we understand why! Not sure if this establishment has service management on weeknights, but if there is they're not doing their job very effectively. The food itself was fair or better & it could have earned 3 stars based on food & drink alone. However the wait/order staff were dishonest about an error they made with an order, and attempted unconvincingly to blame it on us (the customer). There's nothing to leave a bad taste in your mouth after a restaurant meal quite like a bald faced lie delivered straight into your face by an employee, with eye contact, & with fellow staff jeering and making rude hand gestures in the background to boot! This place really needs to appoint some strong supervisors to keep close tabs on their staff's conduct & ensure customers aren't being mishandled. Ugh, I hope they didn't spit in our food too. It will be interesting to see if Giovanni's survives the economic downturn.
