About FoodieView
FoodieView was founded in 2005 with the mission of making it easier to find good food on the web. With the mountains of information available on the internet, it has become increasingly difficult to find the good stuff amongst all the spam and junk websites.
We help by finding quality food sites (both large and small), and organizing their recipes and restaurant reviews, so that you can find them from one convenient place.
We started by providing a recipe search engine. Instead of going to all your favorite recipe sites and searching them one by one, you can just use our search service. You can search by dish name, ingredient, cuisine, or chef. The recipe search results are sorted both by relevance and user rating, which makes it really easy to see the promising recipes. You can also keep track of your recipe links using our free recipe box.
In Spring of 2007, we released our restaurant guide, which compiles "Best Of" lists and restaurant reviews from food critics, food bloggers, and regular folks. You can search for restaurants by name, or just browse by category or location. You can also write your own reviews, and make lists and maps of restaurants to share with friends.
